Sanctuary Criminal Justice is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated band 7 alcohol liaison nurse to work in
South London. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of substance misuse and be registered with the NMC.

The pay rate for this locum alcohol liaison nurse job is £28.40 (LTD Company Equivalent) per hour and is an initial 3-month contract.

Responsibilities of the alcohol liaison nurse:
- Provide a consultation-liaison service to clinicians and clinical teams within the general hospital. This will include giving specialist advice on a range of care, treatment and patients management issues
- Provide brief interventions - health education, advice, and information - to patients about their alcohol use
- Make appropriate referral to statutory and non-statutory agencies for longer-term interventions such as detoxification counselling psychological intervention and family therapy
- Promote opportunities for harm reduction with patients presenting with drug and alcohol misuse
- Carry out specialist assessments, develop, implement, evaluate and document specialist care

Requirements of the alcohol liaison nurse:
- Recent experience within a similar role
- Must be NMC registered
- Minimum of 1 years' experience in a similar role
