Sanctuary Criminal Justice is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated detox nurse to fill a full-time role in Haringey. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of nursing and be registered with the NMC.

The pay rate for this locum detox nurse job is £25 (LTD Company Equivalent) per hour and is an initial 3 month contract.

Responsibilities of the detox nurse:
- To conduct an assessment of service users to establish a diagnosis of alcohol dependency.
- To liaise with primary care or other prescribers to coordinate detoxification treatment packages
- To manage your caseload of service users undertaking detoxification treatment including care planning, liaison with partner services, and coordinating attendance at groups and 1:1 support sessions.
- To write clear correspondence and case notes on our case management system.
- To provide resource to team using your nursing knowledge, skills and experience relating to general physical and mental health issues.
- To provide assessment and appropriate liaison/referral for post-detox prescribing activity as indicated in-line with NICE-guidance.

Requirements of the detox nurse:
- Degree or equivalent in nursing
- Current NMC registration (RGN/RMN)
- Significant experience as an prison substance misuse nurse
- Experience within Substance Misuse and Alcohol Detox
