Sanctuary Criminal Justice is currently looking for a Substance Misuse Criminal Justice Worker to work in London on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of substance misuse.

The salary for this Criminal Justice Worker job is £16 (LTD Company Equivalent) per hour and is an initial 2-month contract.

- To work with service users to ensure that recovery care planning and outcome monitoring is conducted on an individual basis according to the specific needs of the service user
- Conduct comprehensive assessments with detainees
- To pro-actively make contact with and assess detainees in police custody suites, probation, prisons and courts
- Provide substance misuse harm reduction information aimed at reducing risk.
- Compile reports on service users for courts, probation and Local Authorities
- Make relevant referrals.
- Working across courts
- DRR assessments
- Working with newly released prisoners

Requirements of the Criminal Justice Worker:
- Criminal Justice/Substance Misuse experience
- Met clearance is desirable but not essential as they will carry out clearance for the successful candidate
- Must be an experienced CJ Worker/DIP Worker
- Knowledge around ATR/DRR clients
- Ability to develop good relationships with criminal justice services ie. POs, Police etc.
- Must be literate and able to write reports on service users for courts etc.
- The work is very time sensitive so must be highly organised and able to work well within a timeframe/to deadlines
