Independent Domestic Violence Advisor

Sanctuary Criminal Justice is currently looking for a dedicated independent domestic violence advisor to work in Barking.

The pay rate for this locum independent violence advisor job is £14 (LTD Company Equivalent) per hour.

Responsibilities of the independent domestic violence advisor:
- Provide a high quality pro-active service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a service to those at highest risk
- To work within a multi-agency framework
- Play an active role in local partnership responses to domestic abuse
- Focusing on and prioritising high risk cases

Requirements of the independent domestic violence advisor:
- Knowledge of the dynamics of domestic abuse and experience of working with medium/high risk domestic violence victims
- Experience of working as an effective member of a team
- Knowledge and understanding of Criminal Justice processes
- Experience and understanding of working in a multi-agency environment and of partnership working
- SafeLives/CAADA IDVA Training desirable but not essential. However if not SafeLives trained, a sound experience of working with medium/high risk DV clients is essential.
