Prison Cleared Substance Misuse Worker

Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated prison cleared substance misuse worker to fill a full time role in Lancashire. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of substance misuse.

The pay rate for this locum substance misuse worker job is £15 - £18 (LTD Company Equivalent) per hour and is an initial 3 month contract.

Responsibilities of the substance misuse worker:
- Work within a multi-disciplinary environment alongside people with a diverse range of skill sets.
- Provide healthcare to offenders ensuring a professional service is delivered at all times.
- Help offenders at different stages in their recovery journey by developing recovery plans.
- Work alongside prescribers to help give out medication to prisoners who have had or have substance misuse problems.
- Perform 1 on 1 and group work in order to provide quality levels of care to offenders
- Work to clinical governance and quality assurance standards as set by the prison.
- Manage non-drug based treatment methods such as recovery plans for substance addiction or mental health issues

Requirements of the Substance Misuse Worker:
- Recent experience working directly with substance misuse clients
- Current prison clearance
