Sanctuary Criminal Justice is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated prison nurse to work in West Yorkshire. The ideal candidates will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of prison nursing and be registered with the NMC.

The pay rate for this locum prison nurse job is £90 - £100 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent). This is an initial 3-week contract

Responsibilities of the prison nurse:
- To manage the patient caseload in partnership with other practitioners to ensure quality outcomes for patients and carers.
- To act as an accountable general practitioner, managing clinical care and facilitating general management through a partnership with the service management team
- To identify and utilise appropriately best practice through benchmarking and clinical guidelines.
- To develop positive collaborative working relationships across all areas of the care team, including the substance misuse team, mental health team and primary care team.
- To undertake appropriate clinical risk assessments and implement management strategies for risk identified

Requirements of the prison nurse:
- Degree or equivalent in nursing
- Current NMC registration
- Significant experience within a similar role
