Are you looking for a new prison phramacy technician role?

Sanctuary Criminal Justice is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated prison pharmacy technician to work in a prison in Rugby on a permanent contract.

This role offers a salary of £24,214 - £28,608 per annum.

Responsibilities of the pharmacy technician:
- Administration of single dose medication including controlled drugs.
- Administration in possession medication.
- Complete and support medication risk assessments.
- Reconcile the patients medication history.
- Facilitate the supply of medication for patients attending court or transferred.
- The assessment of patients own drugs.
- Provide original pack dispensing.
- The supply of patients discharge medicines.

Requirements of the prison pharmacy technician:
- BTEC in pharmaceutical science or NVQ Level 3 supported by appropriate underpinning knowledge e.g. BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences, NPA or equivalent qualification
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician
- Experience of working within a team
- Experience of working within a healthcare environment
- Able to demonstrate a good standard of literacy and numeracy
- Able to provide examples of diversity in practice
- Able to work within challenging and complex situations
- Experience of working with potentially aggressive people
- Appropriate accredited technician checking qualification
