Sanctuary Criminal Justice is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated probation officer to work in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of probation services.

The pay rate for this probation officer role is £24 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.

Responsibilities of the probation officer:
- You will provide and support opportunities for Service Users to improve their skills through effective assessment and planning, delivery of interventions and collaborative use of partnerships
- You will part of a creative and determined team, dedicated to helping our Service Users overcome difficulties and change their offending behaviour.
- To assess, plan and implement effective interventions aimed at reducing reoffending and helping Service Users turn their lives around
- Supervising service users in line with standards, providing case management and interventions which aim to reduce risks of harm and re-offending

Requirements of the probation officer:
- Recent experience working as a probation officer
- Degree or equivalent within probation studies
- Excellent communication and people skills,
- Patience, empathy and a non-judgemental
- The ability to handle and address challenging behaviour
- Resilience and determination to improve outcomes
