Sanctuary Criminal Justice is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated probation officer to work in Poole. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of probation services.

The pay rate for this probation officer role is £24 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.

You will be accountable for end-to-end case management either remotely or face to face exercising professional judgement and appropriate support, helping service users/customers to meet sentence requirements and performance targets. This could involve referring to the interventions team or other provision whilst ensuring the service user/customer receives the best support to achieve a positive sustainable outcome.

Responsibilities of the probation officer:
- Manage a caseload of service users/customers that may present a series of complex requirements and risk; ensuring appropriate enquiry, investigation, challenge, advice and guidance is provided to enable progression along the service user/customer journey.
- Deliver services through a direct, blended and remote method within individual and group settings to ensure service user/customer positive outcomes are achieved.
- Ensure service users/customer contractual requirements are met through effective case planning and on-going review in line with the relevant quality standards to achieve desired outcomes.

Requirements of the probation officer:
- Recent experience working as a probation officer
- Degree or equivalent within probation studies
- Ability to use own initiative to prioritise and organise workload for self and others
- Proficient and competent when using IT systems
- Ability to input data accurately and maintain effective systems
- Significant Knowledge of the Justice and/or employability sectors
