Sanctuary Criminal Justice is currently looking for a Substance Misuse Residential Support Worker to work full-time based in Oxfordshire. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of substance misuse.

The pay rate for this locum Substance Misuse Residential Support Worker job is to be confirmed and this role is an initial 2-month contract.

Duties:
- Support residents to achieve the goals agreed within their Recovery Plan as identified by the service user and their Keyworker.
- Responding to need as it arises and supporting service users to develop social and living skills within the group living environment.
- Carrying out risk assessment and the on-going management of risk.
- Working closely with other services that might be utilised in supporting the individual and ensuring that up to date information about other services is available to service users and colleagues.
- Providing information and advice, including harm minimisation and family support, as appropriate.
- Support the facilitation of group work sessions with service users and to promote Mutual Aid and Peer Support.
- Effectively support the individuals' transition from the service in a manner that aids their long-term recovery including move on to residential rehabilitation, community treatment, housing and employment.
- To respond and deal with any emergency domestic issues.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
- Must have experience of working with clients with drug and alcohol users.
