Sanctuary Criminal Justice is currently looking for a substance misuse recovery worker to work in Wokingham. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of substance misuse.

The pay rate for this locum substance misuse recovery worker job is £12-£14 (LTD Company Equivalent) per hour and is an initial 2-3 month contract.

Responsibilities of the substance misuse recovery worker:
- Managing the referral system, ensure everyone wanting to access treatment can do so in required timeframes
- Carrying out assessments identifying priorities and ongoing need, including risk assessment and management and setting initial goals
- Providing support to the SU accessing open access service, delivering information and advice, including harm minimisation and family support, as appropriate and needle exchange
- Co-facilitation on the Recovery Group Work programme, and delivering peer support

Requirements of the substance misuse recovery worker:
- Recent experience working with substance users (both alcohol or drugs) or vulnerable people
- Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary framework
