    Description

    Sanctuary Criminal Justice is currently looking for a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker to work full-time based in Knowsley. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of substance misuse.

    The pay rate for this locum Substance Misuse Recovery Worker job is £12.27 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 2-month contract.

    Job Purpose:
    - Supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment / recovery journey
    - Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community
    - Providing advocacy for access to partnership services

    Requirements:
    - Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role/substance misuse
    - Experience of working with families displaying behaviour in one or more of the following fields - social work, youth offending, substance misuse, probation, health, family work, education, youth and community
    - Working knowledge of Child Protection
    - Ability to manage challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner
