Sanctuary Criminal Justice is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Youth Justice Officer to fill a full-time role in Sheffield. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Youth Offending.

The pay rate for this locum Youth Justice Officer job is £18 - £18.50 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.

Responsibilities/Duties:
- Responsible for delivering high quality assessments and intervention plans and ensuring that intervention plans are acted upon within the context of national and local standards.
- To act as responsible case manager for young people assessed as up to and including high or very high risk of causing serious harm.
- To provide high standard reports to the court and other services regarding the progress of young people supported by the service including the delivery of verbal reports to the court as service representative.
- To manage a complex caseload including young people assessed at varying degrees of risk and vulnerability and coordinate the delivery of effective interventions to reduce risk/need.
- To prevent reoffending, protect the public, promote the safety and wellbeing of service users and to ensure that disposals and sentences are served.

Requirements of the Youth Justice Officer:
- Significant experience within Youth Offending/Justice
- Must be either social work or probation qualified
