    Description

    Sanctuary Criminal Justice is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Youth Offending Social Worker to work full-time in Harlow. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Youth Offending and be registered with the HCPC as a Social Worker.

    The pay rate for this locum Youth Offending Social Worker job is £27.60 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is a 3-month contract.

    Responsibilities of the Youth Offending Social Worker:
    - To work as part of a multi-agency Youth Offending Service to prevent offending by young People.
    - To deliver a professional social work service to designated service users.
    - To provide services as required by the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 and other relevant legislation.
    - To focus on the provision of bail supervision and remand services.
    - To ensure that all work and services are delivered in accordance with National Standards for Youth Justice and local policies and procedures

    Requirements of the Youth Offending Social Worker:
    - A recognised social work qualification i.e. Diploma, degree or master's in social work, CQSW, CSS or equivalent, with current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a registered social worker.
    - It is essential that the right candidate has training and a firm understanding of key areas such as; Relevant Legislation, Child Protection, Data Use, Youth Justice and Social Work.
    - Evidence of continuing professional development aligned to any relevant Professional Competency/Capability frameworks or Knowledge and Skills Statements.
    - Significant experience of front-line social work or criminal justice working with complex children or young adults.
