We’re determined to help support our clients and candidates through the government’s Transforming Rehabilitation (TR) agenda, which is why we have created this live online resource to keep all those concerned up-to-date.

Transforming Rehabilitation

Transforming Rehabilitation sets out the Government’s plans for transforming the way in which offenders are managed in the community in order to bring down reoffending rates. This will see up to 70% of probation’s core work transferred from 35 local trusts to the private sector.

Core reforms:

· Probation Trusts will be reorganised into a single national public sector probation service and 21 new government-run companies (‘Community Rehabilitation Companies (CRC)’)
· The Ministry of Justice intends to compete 21 contracts for the provision of services for low- to medium-risk offenders across England and Wales · Each CRC will be transferred to the winning bidders of each contract area

· A new and smaller public sector National Probation Service (NPS) will retain responsibility for the supervision of high risk offenders

· All probation staff will be allocated to NPS or CRC

Keeping you up-to-date
